    These aren't solar

    "
    Additional Information

    Light Fittings

All light fittings must be fitted in accordance with wiring regulations from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and current building regulations. We recommend you employ a qualified electrician and that manufacturer's fitting instructions are followed.

    * Please note that this item has been charged at intervening prices since first offered for sale."

Plus they don't show up in catalogue under solar search term. Photo is misleading though, as it appears to show solar panel on top.

They are solar, you can see the solar panel at the top, and I also have a load of the same type in my own garden :D
They put that warning on most electrical items, for example these are solar lights and they have the same warning http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4325169.htm

You could well be right but are you sure? That disclaimer is standard. For example you can find it here too: http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4328609/Trail/searchtext%3ESOLAR.htm
