    Hi..
We're looking at ways in increase our income and are wondering about batch rearing calves..
We've a local dairy farmer whom we can source calves from, we took a few this year to check their viability and they're all healthy and thriving so far.. We've agreed a price and all seems OK..

IS anyone out there doing this in large batches.. I'd like to hear any experiences or advice..

The other thing is would you start smaller and build up or go for broke on the first year (not litterally we hope)

    cheers

are you talking bull calves?? if so Buitlears are doing it and supplying slayney meats i think, and dawn meats are doing a scheme with farmers called the dairy beef club or something

if your talking heifer rearing then make sure the contract covers everything that can go wrong
