I would imagine its amazing. I have been to sweden & loved it. Unfortunately, have not got around to norway or finland but i would say there both amazing & a very different but good honeymoon experience.

I wouldn't advise going north for your honeymoon expecting to see the northern lights. There's a slim chance you would see them; the sun isn't very active at the moment and the peak isn't for a couple of years. If you want to go to Norway or Finland anyway, then go ahead, but if your main reason is the northern lights then you might be disappointed.

Bear in mind that if you are close to or within the Arctic Circle around December/January, there might be only 4-6 hours of daylight per day. I've been to Norway and Sweden in this time of year and it can be fairly bitter.

Winter honeymoons could be lovely but. We took in a couple days late season skiing on our honeymoon in spring which was fantastic. If you're into winter sports, it would be ideal.

How about the ice hotel in Sweden?
They rebuild it from ice every year as far as I know, and it sounds fairly spectacular. It's not cheap, but sure a honeymoon is the time to go for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
