Tap Valve

I am installing a wooden washstand with sink on top, the tap have flexible stainless steel pipes connected to it. I have 1/2" pex up approx. 600mm from the floor, which will be hidden behind tiles.
I am looking for the name of a valve used to join the pex and flexibles, something chromed and with a chromed bezel.
Local merchants look at me as if I have two heads asking for something like that.
    Thanks
