    Hi,

Was doing a job the other day that included adding a magic eye(link) to an existing setup. The existing setup already had an eye ina bedroom

I hung a flat screen on the wall and added the magic eye to the system by using a splitter in the attic. i then powered up the whole lot, light came on on the eye but it wouldn't control the box.

I went to the bedroom and took that eye and installed at the flatscreen and it worked. I brought the "DODGY" eye away with me, intent on returning it, but I said I'd just check it before returning. Checked on my own box and hey presto it worked.
So I had to put up aerials etc at the house with the flatscreen and tried it again in the bedroom but to no avail.

Anyone any ideas of why. I've done loads of jobs using 2 eyes of a simple f splitter, witout the use of a link amplifier but this is the first one to give bother. The light works on the eye and there are no tv outlets in the line to interfere. Would a link amp help?????
