    Hello there,
Could anyone tell me what the law is here. there is a situation where a small service station has has gone belly up 2 years ago.however there were items which were left in for service and were never collected, and the owners cannot be contacted. these items are starting to get in the way now of a new project and have to be got rid of.sold or dumped. what are the laws here as regards of ownership of these items or how should they be disposed of? thanks

I think to cover yourself you need to make all reasonable efforts to contact the owners of these items and be able to show these efforts ( copies of letters , notices , etc ) after all that I reckon you would be ok to get rid of them.
Open to correction ( as always ).............
