    I'd imagine Radionics

    Glenview Indstl Est Herberton Rd
    Rialto, 12, Co. Dublin

Maplin or peats (Parnell Street) should also have it if Radionics is out of your way

Ahh sure Waterford is only down the road. With Radionics you can order online.

Yeah, as per usual Waterford is the only city without a Maplin. More annoyed that I have take the part out again and measure its dimensions so get I the right part!

TBH Maplins would be my last choice.

2.4meg, it's in the picture. Probably linear track as well :)

I thought he was refering to something else (I'll still need to get the phyical measurements).

You can cut the shaft down handy enough anyway. They're all plastic now.

I see it's only used as a variable resistor, what's it out of?

Vacuum cleaner. Works only on full blast, the pot has become "scratchy" when you turn the control wheel.

    Ah!

A more common value is 2m2 (2.2 Megohm). That will work fine as well.

Thanks in advance for any help :D

    try www.cpc.co.uk

I've used them for years, good delivery, the only issue I have is that if you order something and they don't have it, you find out when the 8 out of 10 Items you ordered arrive in the post. So I call them first if its important, they have an Irish number.

Thanks for that but I was more looking to identify the spec in order to get the correct item!

The photo is not good enough to tell what it is. Looks like just a switch, rated at 250v AC, cant tell the current rating, but would have to be highish for a 12v DC motor and the from the thickness of the wires etc. Bring it into the likes of Radionics and the lads will be able to pick a replacement.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?
