Little black dress

Where can I get one of these? Ideally something made of cotton/jersey material that I could wear both during the day and to dress up a little bit in the evening. I was thinking perhaps a V neck with short or 3/4 length sleeves and not too short but above the knee. I've been looking everywhere and I can't find anything suitable. I had one from Forever 21 which did the job but was cheap and went out of shape in the wash so I had to throw it away. Basically I want something classic that I could keep for several years. Anyone know of such a dress?

Well it might not last the distance but for €26 in New Look I got a dress a few weeks ago almost exactly as you describe, black jersey, v neck, 3/4 sleeves and just above the knee. Wearing it at work right now with flats and white top underneath. Just checked label and it's not an actual New Look dress, it says Mela Loves London.

Cool, thanks, I'll check it out. If it's not too much bother (I don't want to be making you flash the office) could you tell me the materials it's made from?

    No bother! It's 65% cotton & 35% polyester.

I bought a dress in Dorothy Perkins that sounds very like what you're looking for. It was a few months ago though, but you might still be able to get something similar. Maybe try Next as well? :)

Oasis is usually good for classic dresses. Not sure if they have black dresses at moment but I have a couple of dresses from them that i have worn to death day & night.
