Bus Eireann Busses generally leave from Busaras. You want the number 2 bus:

You want to get off at Jack Whites Cross.

Don't know about paying, I haven't taken a CIE Bus in 10 years.

Bus eireann runs it. timetable & price on buseireann.ie

Not sure aboutwhere it stops, up by McDonalds on the main street maybe. It does go into Bray anyway, I've noticed it pulling off the M11 to do so a good few times.

I'm a frequent user of the 002 service and it definitely doesn't go anywhere near Bray town, it is not even mentioned on the timetable! It takes the M11 as far as Kilmacanogue and it picks up there.

My advice to the OP is to get the number 145 (Dublin Bus) from Bray Main Street to Kilmacanogue and change there for the number 002 (Bus Éireann).

hmmm... maybe it was the 133 that I saw then, apologies. Stops at Loughlinstown Hospital too though doesn't it. Another possible option for the OP

Yes sorry the 002 does stop at Loughlinstown hopital also.

Just looking at the timetable it is the 133 the goes through Bray.

bit of a hike from Jack Whites to the beach too (2.4k according to Google)

Because getting from Jack Whites/N11 is a bit of a treck (no footpaths either). Consider getting a bus to wicklow town and then a short taxi trip to Brittas Bay.

I think the fare would be about 9-12 euro for a hackney (not cheap but easier on your feet!)

You could always get the 65 Dublin Bus from the City Centre. It is a much longer route having to come from bray though, then to Brittas :P
Eh, Brittas and Brittas Bay are quite some distance apart. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=FSdPLAMdBYud_yl1VwI96HVnSDFMaRmnTs3VEQ%3BFXvbJgMdGmKj_ykxMW2C7sdnSDEwrDGXqccACg&q=Brittas,+Ireland+to+brittas+bay&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=51.488837,114.169922&ie=UTF8&z=10&saddr=Brittas,+Ireland&daddr=brittas+bay
