Have an 05 Peugeot 307 Auto. Got a letter in the post today from the garage where the car was originally sold from. Basically it is saying i need to bring the car into them as Peugeot are having a recall campaign. According to the letter a part on the car might need to be changed. Does anyone know what the nature of the problem might be as i rang the garage and they are closed today  If the problem was small i wouldn't bother getting it fixed as the garage is about 80km from where i live.

If there is a recall any peugeot dealer will do it for you, the letter only came from the original dealer as he had the info on the car, so just give your closest dealer a call as it could be important and wont cost you a cent

You can see the Recalls for the Uk on the VOSA website
    http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp

here are some from the 307 - wow to some of them hiccups
    front shock absorber concern
    ignition switch fire risk
    incorrect specification brake fluid
front brake pipe may chafe on anti roll bar
Automatic possibility that vehicle could be started with gear selector in any position
    possibility of cuts in tyres.
possibility that egr support bracket may break
weld points on rear side chassis members may have not been made correctly
the vehicle may not be correctly fitted with a rear seat anchorage point strengthener
failure of the throttle stop, could lead to a reduction in braking assistance
concern that the lower axle swivel joint was not tightened correctly
possible seepage on the diesel fuel return pipe
excessive oscillation of the throttle valve
risk of fire in engine compartment
corrosion of electrical connection which could cause a short circuit
    brakes may fail
    airbag may deploy inadvertently
    fuel may leak
rear axle fixing bolts may become loose

Got in contact with the garage and they said i can get it done at my local dealer without a problem. Certainly a eye opener to that recall list above  Its funny because i'm having a problem the last few months where out of the blue i get an " Automatic Gear Fault" error. The gears still go up and down but the car feels sluggish. Will get them to look at that when i give it in.
