...was out measuring on a job yesterday, in Co Clare, and in the corner of the yard was a 900 Turbo.

Anyway, long story short, it belonged to the mother of the client I was meeting, who's now passed on, and car has been just left in the corner, since.

It shows 74k miles (iirc) on the speedo, is LHD, and yes, those are US plates ! If some clot hadn't left a window/door ajar (or similar), the car would be dry inside, but it isn't.

Consider it a really good source of parts, really.

Car is free to a Saab-ist :) - so PM me. You'll need a transporter/trailer/etc to move, and you'll have to come to North Clare to get it.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

You reckon a restoration is out of the question? Car's looking very good on the outside!

No, I'd say it probably is restorable, but if you go on the basis that it isn't, then, hey, you can only be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to be sound !

A pessimist can never be dissappointed is my thinking.......:D

Too many "enthusiasts" would rather scrap this for parts than do a restoration....that car would be swiped up in the UK....;)

Realistically it's worth nothing as a car to drive in Ireland, it being wrong hand drive, an automatic and with the VRT payment looming over it. So, worth more in parts, which is a pity because it does look reasonably tidy.

I'm mentally listing stuff that I could use for a 900... my ex-daily driver 900 is sitting waiting for some light resto and a new lease of life.
