    Where's the best/cheapest place to buy/download a copy of MS XP Pro SP3?

    I dont want 7 as I have some unsupported software I need to run on XP

    +1 on the virtual XP mode

    another route
    if you buy a windows 7 business license you can downgrade it to XP


    you can't download a legal copy of XP, microsoft don't do that for Xp

    you can't transfer an OEM license so don't buy OEM license

    you can transfer a non-OEM license , but not if it's an upgrade that upgraded OEM and there are court cases over transferring ownership of volume licenses

    so if buying a second hand license, best to get a full retail license

    Also I think XP is end of life and not sold by anyone any more except for maybe OEM providers.

    but yes Windows XP Mode FTW, works a treat
