Tables in OpenOffice Writer

I'm working with a table in OO Writer at the moment. It's got 5 rows, and 5 columns. I merged the cells in the bottom two rows so now the bottom two rows have three columns each, but when I go to adjust the width of these bottom columns, the rest of the table is affected.

Is there a way to do this without affecting the rest of the table?

Never mind, I figured it out. Click in cell, hold down the Option and Command keys and press the arrow on the keyboard for whatever direction you want to drag it. Thank you Google.

As a general rule, with open source software Google is your best friend. If you know how to utilize a search engine properly you can find out how to do most anything you're curious about when it comes to open source software. That's the spirit of it.
