Coronation Street cat's ashes smash auction target

The ashes of the Coronation Street cat, Frisky, who died ten years ago, have been sold at auction for almost six times the expected price.
Furious bidding by soap fans meant the wooden casket carrying the cat's remains fetched £844 at an auction in Gloucestershire.
The tabby cat starred in the starting sequence of more than 1,000 episodes of the Manchester soap.

Who the hell would want to buy a dead cat's ashes!
If it was stuffed, at least you could use it to evaluate the sizes of rooms in flats.

He starred in 1000 episode openers... so they refilmed that exact sequence each time?

There's something about Coronation Street. Can you imagine that happening to any animal that appears in Fair City or EastEnders?

That's because the one's on Fair City are all street hardened tough cats.

Imagine what they'd get if they sold a used pair of Rosie Webster's knickers....

A Tabby Cat who was in the opening scene of Coronation Street....and probably because they couldn't move him on the day of filming

However, this is a great scene from the show....

And this is about the sexiest scene from the show....they deleted it because they felt it was too "raunchy" (I've seen worse on the show tbh)

You couldn't have an animal in Fair City, it would overshadow the rest of the acting.
