Whats the best way to get into farming? I'm 20 and an early school leaver . When I was younger I would spend the summers on my godfathers farm and since then I've always wanted to work on a farm but i don't know where to start. i live in north county Dublin. any info and advice you may have would be a great help.
    Cheers
    Sam

Keep an eye in the local papers or put an add in the paper yourself - I can't say what the rewards will be like but if your at a loose end and the weather is fairly good.. what the heck. It could be a window to a job doing something else or at a minimum you would lean some new stuff. Worked on a farm for three months (as well as having our own) learned a bit about building, block laying, sheep handling, fencing (proper way), tractor driving etc.

make money and travel countries such as new zealand, australia and america where there isnt as much of a tie to land and people can start off farming much easier
