shirt and tie for a wedding

    advice needed,im going to a wedding next week and I want to buy a new shirt and tie.The suit I will be wearing is a black 2 piece with no pinstripe.What would people advise to buy?I'm 5"8 and slighty tanned.

    If it were me I'd go with a traditional white dress-shirt, a twill or a herringbone weave, and I'd match that with a festive necktie or bowtie. The balck and white of the suit and shirt are a bit 'waiter' like but with the right tie or bowtie you'll look wonderfully sharp.
    Don't forget a pocket square to add another dash of colour to the mix.

    Thanks for the reply .I have a white dress shirt and cuff links that I have wore be before with various tie so I am kinda looking for something different.the lining of the suit is dark red wine colour should I try matching this up with tie /shirt ?

    What about a light blue/grey coloured shirt (like this colour) and either a matching tie to the shirt, or a slightly darker blue or royal blue tie?
