"My journey over the last 7 years has been an amazing one".

Seems simple enough but I can't quite get it right.
    Aon smaointí?

The "has been" tense is called the perfect tense. Unfortunately Irish doesn't have a perfect tense.
What would be a perfect tense sentence in English is expressed in Irish in different ways depending on the sentence.

    For example:
Tá Máire san óstán seachtain anois.
Literally: Mary is in the hotel a week now.
Meaning: Mary has been in the hotel a week now.

Usually it's best to avoid trying to translate "has been" directly and for sentences like the above, just use the past tense. So Crosáidí's translation works.
