anybody know when or where or how you go about claiming your free bumper for the iPhone 4?

Hello there,not trying to be funny or anything.But if you do a quick search on the web,you'll find that when they(the iPhones) are available in Ireland.Apple will have a type of redeem your free Bumper/case(depending on whats available at the time) on their web store or highstreet stores.Hope this helps and here is a bit more assistance.....HERE

just got iphone 4 yesterday from apple store belfast, he said I might be waiting a while for me free bumper.

According to this link on Apple.ie :

You can apply now by downloading the app from the appstore. It's not just bumpers either IIRC, you can get cases too.

There were 6 cases available in America, not sure what we're getting, the app doesn't appear in the app store yet.

but when you buy in belfast you get a link to the UK iTunes app. and if you have an irish iTunes account, you cant download it.

i rang Apple support this morning and they said that it should appear in the irish store over the next few days but if it doesnt, then ring them again before the 22nd aug and they will arrange something.

it has to be an apple bumper or bought from the apple store IIRC.
dont think they are refunding for third party cases, i could be wrong though.

Placed the order in the app, went for the black bumper 3-5 weeks, might have a look over the weekend for another one.

just ordered my black bumper there.
3-5 weeks shipping

i have the bumper and a zagg front and back so that should be enough to keep it it decent shape!

dissappointed there was no green ones available

didnt want one of the other cases that covered up the whole rear of it etc.

I got a bumper from ebay so no refund for that. So ordered the Belkin from the app.

I download the app when it came out in Germany last Friday, also said 3-5 weeks at the time of placing the order. But it has shipped today, just 1 week later, so I'll probably have it tomorrow. I wouldn't take too much notice of the 3-5 weeks time frame.

Type iPhone 4 in the search, scroll down and tap next 25 should be the first one.

Go to the Irish apple store on safari on your phone. than click the iTunes link for the app from there it should open in the app store then.

Just ordered the Griffin Graphite case from the app.

Looks pretty nice and protects the back of the phone which the bumper dosent. Says 6-8 weeks lead time so may need something in the interim.

I tried that this morning and it was trying to bring me into iTunes rather than the actual App Store.

As mentioned above, search for 'Case Program' and its about 10-15 apps down along.

That was before it was in the Irish app store. it works now.
