    Simple question..

    Have just booked my aer lingus flight and my order has been confirmed.

    Im now getting the option to choose my seat.
    As I'm travelling alone, it doesnt matter where I sit..

    Do I HAVE to choose where I sit?
    If I don't, am i just automatically assigned a seat on the day of the flight?

    You don't have to choose a seat yet. If you do it now, they charge you. You can choose your seat when you check in at no cost.

    if you check in with the aer lingus electronic machines at dublin airport then you will be allowed choose your own seat, depends on the aircraft, some seats have less space than others, this can be important if you are flying longhaul http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Aer_Lingus/information.php
