    Hey,

Was in game today (Square, tallaght) and picked up a 2nd hand (tho looked like new?) Wireless N adapter for the XBOX. Definitely the N version (2 aerials). It's €25 when bought with anything else instore so I even picked up a craptacular game for 99c and got the two for €26!!

They had a good few wireless G cards too for anyone looking for one but I did manage to get the N which i'm sure will go like hot cakes as they're around €60 everywhere else!

Not sure if it's all game stores but certainly the one in tallaght!

    Happy hunting!

its a while since they had these "when bought with anything" offers, used to do the exact same as you, find an item for a quid or less

hmm, tempting. I have the wireless G one and while it works fine a speed boost wouldnt go amiss, plus I could trade in my old one. Will check this out, thanks op

Latency isn't much better for the N adaptor, so while you'll get a boost for media streaming, you won't see hardly any difference for gameplay.

unless you're having signal issues at the moment with the G adapter you won't get any improvement from these N models, unless you have an N router and even then it won't do anything really noticeable

€25 is a great deal for this. I managed to get the one with one aerial from someone on here for €30 which i still think was a fair price. GAME were selling them second hand for €40.

I do have an N router and also do a lot of media streaming, but don't really have any probs with it whatsoever. Maybe i'll leave it so, really would just be an impulse buy to have the latest tech :p
