Its as good if not better than allot of that "premium" stuff out there, ala budweiser, heineken, miller etc... And 3 litres for a fiver is a good deal :)

The quotations were included to indicate that they are for the most part not premium and heavily marketed and over-rated :pac:

Hmm. If there was an apologetic-facepalm emoticon, I'd use it right about now!

Well it was deffo €5 in Jervis, and looking at past trends on these boards most tescos offers are nationwide, I attached my receipt to this as proof of this, its a fiver for 6 cans,

Artane have it too. I got them there on Saturday night, no problems to report. Most places have them 8 for 8€. Good value, might stock up on them as I drink them most of the time.

I did prefer when they where 4.3%* last year.

*open to correction, but they was higher in %.

And tuborg is made by carslberg. A lot of the so called "premium" beer snobs will turn their nose up at these drinks, but when they hear it is made by carlsberg they do not know what to think as they rate that carlsberg muck pretty highly, even though its just the same yellow piss as all the rest. Amstel is €1 in O'Briens, it is made by Heineken, which when mentioned also shocked/confused/upset some heineken drinkers I know. Those cheap amsterdam beers are made by grolsch.

Used to be 4.2%, most of these beers are brewed to a higher % and then diluted back down, like the heineken you get here is brewed in holland and diluted to 4.3%, while the usual is 5%, probably the exact same brew. A 5% can is 25% stronger, so a 4% can for €1 is equivalent to a 5% can being €1.25 pricing on just the alcohol.
