    Hi

I'm hoping somebody can give some help on phrasing a professional email.

I recently met a women who works in a company which I would really like to work in. Its a small company and this women is only about28 bu still quite senior.
I visited the company and a colleague of hers showed me around etc. I then had a quick meeting with this lady about my future, which was I am going on hols for a few weeks once i finish my postgrad and then will be actively jobhunting. It was very informal so we were talking about all kinds off possibilities and i mentioned how i would like to go to Germany for a while. But she gave the impression that in the future there may be a position, that would be appropriate for me, come up.

I would like to email her now telling her i would definitely be interested in such a position and just say the word and im there basically. Germany is now no longer an option so i will not be moving very far away from where i am now.

would it be alright to send an email like this? im not being too forward am i? any help is greatly appreciated!

Not a problem at all that I can see.

A basic email template is required saying

    Why you're writing, e.g.

Hope you're well, just following up on our meeting recently.

    The meat:

As discussed previously I had a possibility of moving to Germany, but have decided against it, and as such would be eager to have a more formal conversation with you about potentially working together in the near future.

    The call to action:

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Contact details:

    Sin é.

The biggest mistake people make with emails and cover emails is over elaborating.

Stick to the point and there's no harm in not being backwards about being forwards!

    Best of luck
