For some strange strange idiotic reason the hairdresser who did my hair today put in a 'coppery' brown to break up my blonde highlights (which i didnt ask for) and it came out BRIGHT RED. she put brown over it but its still slightly pink browny red AND when i tied my hair up when i got home i saw that she didnt even dye some of the bottom bits!!!! HOW DO I FIX THIS!!!! am i entitled to get them to give my money back so i can go somewhere else to fix this???

why did you pay her? if a hairdresser put the wrong colour highlights into my hair I would not have paid her to begin with...least til she corrected the mistake

she put brown over it and it looked ok when i was leaving but when i got home and tied my hair up i saw that she left loads of bits underneath red.

seriously? thats not good! I would go back and ask for an experienced hairdresser to correct the huge f8ck up this girl has done or demand a refund so you can go elsewhere to get it put right. either way it sounds like you need to get something done and cannot leave it the way it is. but what ever you do dont let her near your hair again!

At the very least, ring them and get them to fix it for you....

wow that is really not good - if you didn't ask for it - was anything said when you saw the colour? like did she say oops? or did you say something??

Basically if you go anywhere else they will charge alot to fix it - it will involve stripping and doing highlights again which will also damage the hair too.
If there is another colour tech in there (pref more senior) then ask them to fix it.
If not - then demand your money back so you can go elsewhere to fix it.

I'm sure if you start off talking reasonably with them about it they will be apologetic and fix it for you. Don't delay tho!!

yea im going back tomorrow to talk to the manager. she saw straight away that she'd made a mistake and put brown over it but its still slightly red... but the most annoying thing is that she left so many bits red underneath so that when i tie it up it looks ridiculous!! i think they should give me my money back because she didnt fix it properly..its really awkward as well because she's a girl i work with boyfriend's sister...

Many salons have a policy where the customer still has to pay, even if they are unhappy with what was done, but that they will then fix it free of charge. Make sure they don't charge you to fix it, stand your ground.

Jesus christ that's a major f*ck up, if it were me I'd demand a refund and a freebie job or two to boot. A refund alone isn't good enough in my opinion if ypu're walking around with brown instead of blonde highlights.

Best of luck getting it sorted - don't let them away with it.

Unfortunately I was not brave enough to get it sorted when something similar happened to me last year.

I went to get my blonde highlighted hair dyed dark auburn (really brown with a red tint). I even had a consultation with the hairdresser a week beforehand to discuss what was realistic because my hair was mostly bleached. My hair turned out a really fake red/orange colour.

I was too scared to let them try to fix it so I went elsewhere and had to get my hair dyed almost black to cover it up. One year on and I still can't get my hair back the colour I want it.

    Good luck!

Definitely go back to the place you got it done, the least they can do is fix their mess! (But I'm sure it's not as bad as you think :))
