    Cany anyone recommend anywhere?

Cost is pretty much the same give or take a few pence, but need them in the next week or so and I want a good quality paper.

Matt finish is also a requirement.

Photobox. Never ordered matt but I'm guessing they probably do it. Problem might be in 'the next week or so'. If you order today you should get them by maybe the end of next week or so ? I've had them take longer before though ...

Pro-printers will obviously do a better job, but The Fuji labs in chemists do matte finish and I find the quality very decent.

Harvey Norman are good but the finish is "Lustre" - think thats as close to matt as you get.

Just make sure they put them through the main computer if you don;t want them auto adjusted.

Photobox matte is excellent, Ive gone on about them here before .....no affiliation or otheewise but Ive had a lot of stuff done with them and was amazed at the quality. 3-4 days is average wait , 6 working days for a canvas has been my experience.

I've gotten some ropey photos from Photobox, and never went back. I've never been impressed by their paper anyways. I'm not bothered with printing online these days anyways. The potential price difference isn't worth not being able to have the print in your hand within a few minutes/hours. Or being able to hand pick your papers... And get it done all over again in a short time if you're not happy. Go local!

If it's something standard, I'll either do them myself, or pop into Gunn's - I may be giving Pixels off Abbey St a go though, now that Katiemaloe is in charge over there. Anything bigger than I can manage myself and I'll go to stcstc.

If you wanted a good choice in paper, I'd definitely suggest stcstc. Or DIY.

If you need them fast and cost is about the same then obviously get them done in an actual store.

In relation to the above posts; I've used photobox in the past and think they're great. Takes about a week for standard photos. Took about two or so for a photobook.

I've had quite a few from Photobox in matt and they were nice, until I got the gloss (as recommended by SusieQue) WOW! Some difference for colour prints.

If you need them quick though, go see Katie in Pixels, she's brilliant at printing. Tell her you're a boardsie and she'll look after you.

The Lustre thing is true of all Fuji labs - I work in one and it's either gloss or lustre, no true matte. Lustre is more of a semigloss than a matte, people tend to go for it because it's as durable as the glossy but doesn't show the fingerprints.

As far as the auto-correction goes, all the Fuji kiosks give you the option to turn that on or off. Just make sure to choose 'no auto correct' when given the the option. If you're doing this, remember that the prints will always be a little darker than on your screen (true of almost all printers) so make sure to adjust for that before you print them.
