aeroplanes with banners out the back

    I remember as a kid in the 80's I use to always see these single engined aeroplanes towing big banners out the back saying "Club Orange" "Coca Cola" "Fanta". There was even a big "Club Orange" hot air baloon.

    I have not seen this kind of thing since maybe 1991'. It was a really cool way of advertising. I would love to see it again. A nice deep blue sky, warm summers afternoon with one of those flying over with a big retro banner out the back. I use to think it was really cool:D. Really takes me back thinking of it now :(

    Yip remember the planes well. Loved the hum of the engine. as i was usually lying on a green after a match or something like that.

    They use to take their time flying past. They would circle the area a few times and be off then into the sunset. I use to live near a Coca Cola Factory so I can assume they were authorised by them. I'd be doing the same thing lying on the grass when I'd see them.
