Il look soon, i know i had a website before. Try 'crow trap', the mesh ones are usually advertised as crow traps for some reason

I make them from 2"x2" galvanised weldmesh. I use a dremel with speedclik cutting attachment because it's the tidiest tool for the job, leaving no bad edges and no stick out bits, nor does it remove the galvanising of the perpendicular wire.

I make them 34" base and roof, four sides plus one middle dividing section each measuring 22" high and 34" long. You'll need one further dividing section which will be 22" high and roughly 17" wide.

On the 34" square roof you'll need to cut out two doors, plus you'll need two doors for INSIDE the roof, which will be bigger than the holes you cut in the roof.

The normal larsen trap springs will work, get some cheap tent pegs or other hard thin rod to put through the hinge loop.

Cable tie the lot together, decide where you're going to cut a hole for an entry/exit point for the call bird section and make a door for that.

I would make a roof for the entire call bird section 17" x 34".

A few bits of hazel stick for the split perch triggers and for the perches for the call bird and you're away with it.

Think there are photos of the ones I made on here someplace to give you an idea.

    Nice :D
Any chance of some close up shots of the trigger and release catch?

Trigger consists of rabbit, cable tied to motorcycle clutch cable. Round a pulley and there is a tensioner on the top of the cage, you see a wing nut(tensioner)

Gravity closes the door when the cable moves the stop out of the way.
The door latches into a springloaded catch at the end.

I'll post a few pics in a bit.
I got to yoke my camera up to this Puter of mine, give me 1/2 hour or so.
    ;)

nope, put a bunny inside, the trick is the bunny has to be taut on the trip wire so the minute he moves down goes the gate!

Im looking at the pics but not sure, does it work on a pull system so or is there a plate he stands on?

I'll show ya today if you like!

Cable tied to rabbit pulls a lever that is keeping the door open.
    gravity lets door fall.
as door falls it rides over a spring loaded latch which keeps it closed

    Patent pending!;)
