Road Recs will be closing its doors for the last time this Saturday the 24th :(. They're selling off all their stock (and everything else that isn't nailed down). There's 25% off everything, with a whole rake of stuff going for a euro.

Worth a visit even if you just feel like picking up a random LP from a band you've never heard of just because you like the cover.

Sad to hear this. Hopefully the Sale was\is productive for them, paying off any debt etc.

On a related note, I miss Freebird. :(

I dont miss that dozy c$$t in Freebird with the lazy eye that used to talk exclusively to women but dismiss everyone else. If you asked the guy a question about the latest papa m album, he rolled his eyes as if you were a simpleton and made you feel like a complete penis. I remember the slate did a skit of him.....

25% seems small if they are trying to get rid of everything before Sat?

I didn't say I liked it because the place was perfect, a lot of Dublin's Record Shops are\were a bit musty and 'quirky' at the best of times, [Mr. Rolleyes] was part of it.
