Gossip Girl - anyone disappointed with it?

Is anyone else disappointed with how Gossip Girl has turned out?
Im lost at how they could make crap out of it considering season 1 was good. However, Josh Swhartz ruined the oc so i shouldnt be suprised.
Personally, i think Gossip Girl should be axed......

You should give it a shot.. it's one of the best shows currently on the box. A helluva lot of fun!

I'm a Chuck convert, it's patchy...but mostly good fun. As for Gossip Girl, i think most fans of the show conceed season 2/3 have been p*ss poor, mostly because of dreadful scripting, plotholes galore...and Taylor Momsen.

Without Blair and Chuck (Bass) i'd switch off, it's too much about fashion and glamour and the roots of GG now gone, series one GG was central to the story, now it's just a voice over. They mapped out series one pretty well, now it's just thrown together over a conference table with a pot of coffee and a few packs of Camels.

I could rant on, i only watch it now 'cause i've seen all 3 seasons....might as well endure the rest, it needs to end at season 5.

^ The OC...travesty, Josh jumped ship after series one and left muppets in charge, Stephanie Savage et al, add to which the actors stopped caring, they had two seasons paid for, bought houses, Misha went bezerk, the only one really likable after it all and who had a career was Rachel Bilson.

I think he has been brilliant in Southland.

but yeah GG has turned into a load of all crap but like you said Richard I will stick with it.......if Chuck goes I will tune out!

The best thing about GG is the characters Blair and Chuck and the actors who plays them. There is excellent chemistry between them. I hope Season 4 is better and should do if they keep Georgina and make her a series regular and bring back Carter also. The likes of Serena, Dan, Jenny and Vanessa and Nate are all boring imo.

As for Chuck the tv show its excellent it has it all drama, comedy, romance and action and Zachary Levi is perfect in the title role and also it has the excellent if underrated hot Adam Baldwin

Ben hasn't been as much a star as Rachel, i'm not convinced by his acting prowess as yet, he's shown glimmers in Southland, but i'd need to see alot more before he can cast of his OC beginnings.

What exactly has Rachel Bilson been a "star" in - her fleeting appearances in 'Chuck' or her piss-poor performance in 'The Last Kiss'?

^ well she's been more high profile then the others + Hayden, Misha has done alot of movies...but nobody has seen them!, she's more tabloid trash then movie star now.
And Rachel is squeaky clean, unlike Misha.

Adam Brody was last in Jennifer's Body which bombed

Misha is a wreck

Ben did well with a role in Junebug and now he is great in Southland

Autumn Reeser has recurring work on Entourage and Human Target

^ well lets not go over every cast member, i think we can agree it was Misha that went to Lindsay Lohan territory...Rachel has only really dated Hayden since The OC hasen't she?

She was with Brody upto the end of The OC, then split and moved to Hayden...you make it sound like she dated a hundread guys.

^ Yes I agree Misha went like Lindsay Lohan she left the show because she thought she was too big for it and it all went wrong then for her. I hates Marissa anyways I preferred Taylor.

Rachel hasnt done any good roles since she left she is more in the tabloids because of her romance i.e. break ups and marriage rumours with Hayden

^ i also loved Taylor...she SAVED season 4 from being a crapfest, and yeah i also think Misha left The OC because she thought she was a superstar, but hey...by the end of season 3 they ALL wanted out of The OC, i remember reading an article saying the actors couldn't wait for The OC to end as it was ruining their "careers".

In GG - season 1 was heaven....

IMO, georginas comebacks were disasterous. They should of left it at season1 and not wear it out.
Serena's daddy issues dont help matters - they ruined her character.
Nate was boring anyway.
Chuck getting shot was stupid and sleeping with Jenny was such a filler.
Taylor Momsen is ruining her own career by picking at others so I doubt CW will have her back at all.
Dan and Hilary duff hurt my eyes. Dans appeal is diminishing big time with me...

Season 1 was simple with rounded characters and legit conflict. Season 2/3 were gimmicks and had really pathetic storylines......



The OC was good too but got pathetic and drawn out after a while. Which is whats happening with GG....

^ dunno, i always liked Georgina's comebacks....her last one was hillarious!, preggo + the ultrasounds scans to hand....made me LOL!

See i liked jenny in season 1, she embodied what GG was about, tryna get to the Upper East Side, being a socialitte.....but since season 2 the character just got too bitchy and wild, it mirrrored Momsen's life.

Blair kinda chilled in later seasons and got more funny, S. just reflected Lively more and more and her quest for tabloid fame, meh....it just turned into a total crapfest, and as you say mirrored what happened with The OC.

Fame went to their heads and they just dialed it in...gimme my paycheck, b*tch!

I agree Chuck and Jenny was wrong if she was to sleep with anyone it should have been Nate or Damien

I think GG is suffering from rumours of catfights between the female leads if rumours are true they dont get along at all and some actors and actresses thinking they are now bigger than the show *coughs* Taylor Momsen

Hilary Duff's character was plain useless and void add to the fact Duff cant act

I loved The OC; season 1 and 2 in particular. Season 3 was so-so. Season 4 was so bad- it was so dissapointing beacuse I loved it so much! I wish Rachel Bilson had made the most of her 15 minutes after it was over, she wasnt in much and she could have been brilliant!

Chuck is brilliant - so funny. I love Morgan!

As a Gossip Girl book reader I loved Season 1 - it was so good and had loads relating to the book. Last season really really annoyed me. Why is Serena so frikken annoying? And why is Jenny such a twat? Hello - have you got 2 brain cells to rub together?? Nate needs to keep it in his pants. I am really looking forward to season 4 to see the

Georgina pregnancy thing and Katie Cassidy is joining the cast!

the dan and serena relationship was great for conflict etc. but the lily and rufus ****e has ruined everything!!

All the couples together off set seem to have zero chemistry on set Chuck/Vanessa, Dan/Serena, Cartier/Blair and during Season 3 if rumours are true Lily/Rufus
