Bookkeeping-how to start as self-employee

    Hi all.
    I have some (3 years experience in accounts).My goal is to start working as self -employee bookkeeper.I don't feel confident enough to jump straight in to the it.Wondering if anybody could give me some advice what do to,how to start,where to gain work experience..etc.I have general good finance knowledge(holding Certificate in Accounting),I was doing Computerized Payroll&Bookkeeping course with Fas and looking for the advice how to start as a bookkeeper.

    Finding clients will be your hardest task in my opinion. Getting recommended by some of your clients is the best form of advertising. If you are working now I would be reluctant to leave a job and head out on my own. Keep your day time job and do the bookkeeping by night. If you get enough clients, then you should consider self employment.
