If you go onto the M50 at Junction 7 do you need to pay the toll

Hi All,

Drove onto the M50 through Junction 7 (from the Chapelizod By-Pass) a couple of weeks ago and exited to the Naas Road from Junction 9.

I forgot to pay the toll by 8 the next day and have been waiting for the letter since... just double checked the E-Flow website there and it says:

"The tolled section is between:

• Junction 6 - the intersection with the N3 national road (also called the Blanchardstown exit) and
• Junction 7 - the intersection with the N4 national road (also called the Lucan exit) "

Do ye think maybe I got away with it? Or is the toll at Junction 6 and at Junction 7 aswell?

when you are driving from the naas road you will hit the tolled section after you pass the lucan road junction so it sounds like you escaped the toll. it is also the case in the opposite direction so you joined the M50 at palmerstown thereby missing the tolled section.

Toll is only on the mainline on the M50 J6-J7, you don't get hit as long as you avoid this strech. This is contrast to some other sections of motorway (M4 PPP for one) where they hit you on the sliproads too.
