    Seen an ad from the Irish based Aussie retailer for 999 euros:

    SONY 40" Full HD LED TV KDL40EX603 + SONY BLU RAY PLAYER BDPS370B + STAND

    Anyone know if this model is obsolete? Cant find the refresh rate,even on Sony.ie.

    GO HARVEY, GO. I'd imagine. That does seem a good price for a 40" LED and Bluray but with 3D starting to become a common feature you may start to see a lot of deals in non 3D TV's.

    Thats an alright deal i guess, bear in mind though that the LED edgelighting is pretty much the only feather in that tvs hat, no 100Hz on board

    forgive me if i am wrong but...

    but wouldnt edge lit L.E.D be worse than fully fledged backlit L.E.D

    so this means its an even worse deal?

    Yes it would really, there really doesnt seem to be any advantage of edge lit led over ccfl when it comes to image quality, it will make the screen slimmer and more energy efficient however

    Sony are currently offering free 5 year warranty on most TV purchases up to 31st of July
