Does anyone know of any travel insurance that will cover a voluntary cancellation. Basically I have a holiday booked since last year for this september, but might not be able to go for financial reasons.
Won't know until just before I leave. There wont be a redundancy involved or anything, just other stuff may come up.
Wouldnt be able to get anything back off the travel agent as it was 'sale ticket' or something to that effect. USIT.
    Thanks

    Very doubtful.

Most insurance companies won't cover any form of cancellation for a trip booked prior to taking out insurance, let alone voluntary cancellation. They still cover you for anything that happens while you're on the trip, just not cancellation. They work on the basis in that instance that the insurance may have been taken out in the knowledge that the trip was about to be cancelled.
