    Hi all
Apologies in advance for the long post and thank you in advance for reading.......
I was going out with a guy from feb to may, we broke up cos i think neither of our heads were quite ready for what it was developing into, we had both come out of ltr's only weeks before we met. I did really REALLY like him and knows he felt the same.
Anyways a few weeks after i found out he had gotten back with his ex.........it hurt a bit but you get on with things.......
We have alot of mutual friends and there is always the risk of running into him most weekends. Anyways i was a bit upset when i found out about him being back with his ex i stupidly kissed his friend (not a smart move i know) This created war in which i got very defensive and was basically like **ck you, i owe u nothing
A week after i was at a party and he walked in.........i could have died. He came staright over and asked could he have a word and basically apologised for the way he had behaved. I said listen dont worry about it its forgotten and we ended up hanging out all night (just as mates) we always got on like a house a fire, very similiar personalities and we just bounce off each other!!!
Next day i got a couple of texts and basically said to him im glad we can be friends so it wont be awkward when out!
The following weekend i ended up having a few people over and he arrived with them, we hung out again...........he told me that he was breaking up with his gf cos he wanted to be with me........i told him that if anything was going to happen with us again that he would need to end it with her first and even then im not saying for certain we would get back together.
Last week got a good few texts we were gonna play tennis one night but i had to cancel.....then along comes saturday night........met him out AGAIN.........long story short ended up back in mine.
He starts on again with us getting back together. I told him he should have some time on his own. Then he starts talking about us going to electric picnic together, and loads of other stuff.
Then on monday i sent him a text just saying something funny and i got a text back to say his ex found out about us and he was not happy about the whole situation..............to which i rang him.......
basically he started off on one at me that he was in sh*t form and needed some space and just because him and her are not together doesnt mean we are automatically getting back WTF!
I was the one who told him to get some space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know to some this whole thing probably seems so petty and insignificant compared to real life problems............problem is the more i think about it the more i realise i have fallen for him hook line and sinker.
My last words to him were how dare he have an attitude with me, i did nothing wrong and i think its probably best if we are not friends'. This was monday and i havent heard from him. Its driving me insane.....................what do i do?? should i even do anything???
I hate rowing or their being a bad atmosphere with anyone...........

    Thanks Again all for reading
    L x

You don't deserve to be treated like that and my advice would be to leave it, delete his number and if on facebook delete as friends. you don't need friends like that.

I broke up with my ex 7 months ago and we continued to meet up and be in contact since then until last night when I just thought enough is enough and I delete his number and all texts from him and deleted him as a friend on facebook and just going to try and get on with my life and realise its his loss.

You told him to get some space which was the right thing to do he just seems to be jumping from the ex gf to you and back to her when things are going well.

    You were dead right.
Now leave him to it. His head is all over the camp and you don't need to be Mrs. Rebound.
Get on with your life and forget about him for now.

This guy wants you and his other girls to be at his finger tips whenever he needs some action. Nothing wrong with that really except he is not being honest about it. He likes women and he obviously is not a one woman man but he is too cowardly to say so.
If you don't want to be a chorus girl it doesn't seem likely you can be anything else with this guy.
If you lay down the law and look for an exclusive relationship he will probably walk or else cheat on you behind your back while pretending you are the 'one.'
You might be better off finding a guy who is more loyal but you seem attracted by a man who seems unobtainable and naturally want to fight off your competitors.
Do you want that? Up to you. Your call.

I am with the rest here.
You did nothing wrong that I can see.

You were straight up with him
    a) not while he is with someone else - Big Congrats
    b) suggesting he take some time on his own - also really good advice if your relationship was to work.

Now he has acted a bit of a prat and is making out you are after him - wonder if that is the line he spun his GF - you know - you stalking him - wanting to break them up again...

    Don't contact him again.
Let him make that move - but stick to your guns. If this is going to work he has to have dealt as much as possible with all his old baggage...
