    Hey there,

We are picking up our engagement ring on Saturday- YIPPEE:D
My family is in laois and his is in galway, firstly we're going to my parents to let them know, not sure how to break the news - any ideas of wording. (10 yrs together- more nervous about telling people than getting engaged  Then its off to Galway.

So questions are how to word the news, and if going for a few drinks it is too much to ask them to come to Athlone, we're kinda thinking we'll be going out in galway and laois, and athlone, kinda spread out, but if we only have one in athlone, its alot to ask people to come???

    roll on the weekend

Don't say anything.. Just wait and see how long it takes somebody to notice the sparkler on your finger.. Much more fun that way.

Regarding the drinks out, etc, probably depends how willing everyone is to travel. I presume the two of ye live in Athlone? I presume after ten years together, your two families know each other fairly well so there's probably no need for a big shindig taking everyone to Athlone to meet up. A night out in Galway one week, another in Laois the next week.

    Congratulations to you both. :-)

thanks for that, we were actually thinking of doing that in relation to the nights out, and the wait until they see is a good idea, i'll keep that in mind
