I have a Wylie Trailed topper and it has just broken a cog in the gear box of the topper for the second time, its only 1 year old and has only done 60 acres of topping on good quality ground. Has anyone come across the same problem?
    Thanks

That seems very strange. Gearbox trouble you would only expect after years of abuse rather than use. But you say you only have this topper a year?

I hope you didn't pay for the first time you got it fixed?? I'd go back to the lad you bought it off and DEMAND at least a new gearbox+cost of fitting. You would be well within your rights. Under consumer law a product has to be fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time and topping 60acres without giving trouble would be the expected of a topper.

Best of luck, let us know how you get on
