    Howdy,

As the title says ...just wondering if a voice recording is admissible in the Small Claims Court or if it depends on the context?

You understand it might be difficult to give actual context but if you need more detail ask away and I'll do my best.

    Thanks

    nothing? :)

Sorry if I'm flouting the 'don't ask for legal advice' part of the charter - I did read it but didn't think my question was flouting it since it's not case specific etc. I thought it might just be a yes or no answer...or even a "maybe, it depends" kind of answer...

Yes you're asking for legal advice - presumably in the context of your future case.

To answer this question on the admissibility of this evidence (it doesn't matter what court) I would have to know the identity of the parties recorded, how it was recorded, under what circumstances etc. etc. etc. etc.

That's not an invitation to provide those details.

it was an "is it ever done?" type of question more than anything else. You've pretty much answered my question so. cheers

No prob - and for clarity, yes voice recordings are often relied upon in court.

Per Reloc8 - We don't do legal advice here. Don't ask for it.
