Ryanair Bag Limit

Hi Guys,

I am a typical girl and on my holidays I like to bring "everything and the kitchen sink".:D

My checked bag limit is 15kg and after weighing my bag its 15.4kg.

I am wondering if anybody has flown Ryanair recently and knows if I will get charged much or at all for this relatively insignificant extra weight?

Unlikely.

Where you will get caught though is if your bag doesn't fit into the bag size guide. I've seen a lot of people only have 10Kgs or less get caught because the bag is too full/packed.

happened to me at Memmingen and check in girl told each of us to have no more than 15.9 in checked luggage and 10.9kg in cabin baggage so we swapped about and put on some more layers of clothes, weighed bags again and again and all worked out. Going through security they even had a scale for cabin baggage!!!!
WOuld you not have to be a full 1kg over to be charged??

It'll depend on who you get at the check in desk. We'd a party of 7 flying recently (all with bags) and while the kids' bags were all around 12-13km, all 4 adults' bags were over by a small bit (15.5kg, 15.7kg etc.) I don't now whether it was because it balanced out with kids' bags being underweight or because they were only over by under a pound but he let them all through

If you are using one of those small weighing Scales then it's slightly off compared to the ones at the airport.I did the same as you and my bag was similar weight.When I got to the airport I put it on a scales at an empty desk and it weighed exactly 15kg.It was similar on the return trip.
PS Don't forget to bring your scales with you so that you can weigh your bag on the return leg!

How about cutting back on a few small items? That will save you all the guesswork involved.

Just make sure that your carry-on luggage isn't too "big" - otherwise it will attract the attention of the staff at the boarding gate.

Can you bring nail varnish in your hand luggage?

If the nail varnish is less than 100 ml (which it probably is) then I imagine you can. Just make sure to keep it in a small see-through plastic bag with the rest of your liquids.

Sort it out when you get to the airport if there's any prob at the desk. At most 0.4kg will be two tops or something. Throw them on you going through security and boarding the plane and you'll be grand. One of my friends once boarded a plane with no less than seven dresses on, so 0.4kg isn't a bother!! :pac::pac:

god Id be mortified! Well Il have to weigh my case on a machine and then see if Il have to remove items!!!

Take some stuff out of your bag. I always come home from holidays with more than I leave with as do most of my mates, so you're better off leaving some weight for that.
