Clonakilty Duathlon 19th September 2010

    Clonakilty Triathlon Club is a newly form club aimed at promoting triathlon in Clonakilty and the surrounding area. In order to increase public awareness and interest in the club a sprint distance duathlon will take place in Clonakilty, Co Cork on 19th September 2010.

    Distance
    3km run, 20km cycle and 3km run. (See below for maps) around one of the most scenic locations in Ireland.

    Prizes
    Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd males and overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd females in the following amounts respectively €100, €75, €50.

    Insurance
    As this is a Triathlon Ireland affiliated event, TI membership cards will be checked at registration and one-day licences where required will be collected. If you require one a one day licence these can b purchased at the link below: https://www.triathlonireland-server.com/ODL/PurchaseODL
    Note cut off time to buy a one day licence is midnight the Thursday before race.

    Location
    The transition area for the event will be the bottom pitch in the old Clonakilty GAA club. (Beside the Model Village). Access into and out of transition will be through the green gate for bottom GAA pitch.

    Race Day
    Registration for the event on the day will start from 8:30am in the transition area and finish at 9:50am sharp. Compulsory race briefing will take place at 10am The race will commence at 10:30am sharp at the bottom pitch of the old Clonakilty GAA grounds. Run and Cycle maps are shown below.
