any one know of a course of there doing deals like corbliss ? €10 before 10 am ? I got made redundant yesterday and the only positive i can see is more time to hit the greens.

I'm not a member of a course so I don't have a gui handicap so opens are out. Thanks for all your advice.

Stepaside do €12 for the "unwaged" before 2pm

and hopefully you'll be back in a job sooner rather than later

and Leopardstown is only €15 anytime afaik

something similar to corballis is on at elmgreen.... although Corballis is far superior to say the least.

    Feel for you there fella.

    These are all weekdays.

    Elmgreen €10 before 10
    Corballis €10 before 10
Balcarrick €10 before 10 and €10 with 3 hours of light left
    Turvey €15 anytime
    Donabate €15 after 5
    Hollystown €20 before 10
Corrstown €25 before 12 and you get soup and sandwiches with that
St. Margarets Mon, Tue & Thurs for €25 includes complimentary sleeve of titleist balls

I was going to suggest opens but your not a member, although if you turned up and said oh i forgot my gui card im sure you could get out for the same price!! Blackbush and Kilcock have weekly open for €15. Plus there other cheap opens on good course.

For better courses go to teetimes and you'll get a decent course from anything between like €13 - €20.

I know stackstown, charlesland, bray, coollattin, arklow, old conna, and glen of the downs all do deals, check them online and also don't be afraid to ring up any club and haggle, you will be suprised !

Old conna is in fantastic condition, was a junior member there years ago and have played some semi opens there recently, well worth the green fee.

Played in Bray last Saturday in the Father & Son competition, get your hiking boots on for the walk to some of the tee boxes ,be out of breath when getting to some of the tee boxes , best not having the honour to get your breath back :) Course is in great nick though. We did'nt talk to each other for good day or so after it :D

Charlesland is good spot too, driving range and all there to smack a few before playing. Couple tough holes on the back 9, indexing needs to be looked at with the 16th index 4  Though i think it's something to do with not having a index 1 in the last couple holes or something on a course for competitive reasons (stand to be corrected on that one)

If ya wanna practice your iron play, Glenmill in Newtown is a fantastic par 3 course. Just looking at that hole there in the link below reminds me of many a splash into the water !
