just looking for some info here, found a couple of "growth type thingys" on my thingy and suspect it may be genital warts - i was in a long term relationship until jan this year and have only had one partner since then (we've split up but this person has had WAY more partners in the last 4 years than i have, so i'm guessing this is where i got them!?).

anyway, i'm wondering how they're treated generally? someone suggested having them burnt off, although i think thats a bit drastic, i think i've discovered them fairly early on, so are there any meds you can take or creams to use? obviously i'm going to my doctor but can't get an appointment until next tues and trying not let panic set in as i have never had any sort of problems down there at all!!!

also, i've heard stories of people having them treated and them coming back?!

one last thing, i also heard that the virus itslef can lay dormant in your body for years and then only start showing symptoms through stress, being run down, etc, is this true? and if so, how many years of being dormant are we talking?! like, do i need to tell people to get checked as far back as before my long term relationship of 4 years?!!

    thanks in advance
