I'm not sure if this has been covered before, all I've found is costs of getting dresses altered through the dress shops. I bought my dress online and it was made perfectly to the measurements I specified but Ive lost some weight so need to get the bodice taken in a couple of inches. Has anyone had this done by an independent seamstress, and how much did it cost? I'm reluctant to spend the price of the dress on alterations! Also, how much time did alterations take? I have 4 weeks max!
