Any need for RDA on same wireless network

I'm just toying about with mobile development.. To have a mobile device (windows CE client / sql sever CE) update an sql server express Db on a desktop, and all within the same home wireless network, can I simply update as if they were on a wired network without need for RDA ? I'm new at this so forgive me if my question…
