Do I just do nothing?

Ok so I am with my partner 10 years and we have had what you would call looking for the outside in a perfect relationship.

I have started questioning everything. I have seriously fallen for a guy. I have not acted on anything or said anything to him and I am really wanting to be told by posters not to act and let things go. I think the guy likes me but he would never act on it as he is both a friend of myself and my bf and to be honest too nice to do anything.

Last week I said to myself just forget about the whole thing and it will pass as this guy is heading away for six months and maybe when he is gone my feelings will go but then when I was leaving things and not in touch he sent me a text (Something of nothing) but it brought my own feelings back to square one.

It is so much worse as I have a child with my BF and he is a fab guy and a fab dad.

I am thinking just to leave things and see if feeling will disappear. I acutally hate myself for feeling like this. I have never felt like this before and I am so worried.

For God's sake forget about it. That'd be a horrible thing to do to your partner and child.

To be honest this sounds purely like temporary infatuation. It should pass eventually.

Feelings like this are perfectly normal, provided you dont act on them. Alot of people become infatuated with someone, sometimes it can be someone entirely unattainable, like a movie star etc... or sometimes it can be someone closer, that you may have contact with. Both perfectly fine and natural, but again, be careful not to get involved in anyway.

It's just a crush. As long as you choose to keep your feelings under lock and key and don't act on them, then they will dissipate eventually. Probably no harm at all that this guy is going away for six months tbh.

Firstly Elle I wouldn't have come on this site and asked for advice if I was a horrible person. I would have acted on my feelings without any concern for my partner or child. I am with him 10 years and I am only human and thanks to the other posters for making me feel like I am somewhat normal to have a crush or feelings for someone.

To Miss Fluff thanks a mill and I am going to follow your advice and I am staying going to avoid until he is gone and then I should be able to just forget.

Even when we are happy with our partners, sexual attraction and crushes on other people still happen. We don't ever have to do anything about them and they do pass over time.
I would look at making sure you do something fun, romantics and coupley with your partner.
