Fridge is freezing everything solid

    Hi guys,

My fridge currently freezes everything no matter where you put it in the fridge. At first I thought that's all it was doing but have noticed recently that it goes in cycles- freezes everything in the fridge, then thaws, then freezes everything again.
Any idea what's up and if it will cost much to fix?

P.S-It's not the thermostat settings in the fridge because I've tried every setting from high to low with no effect.

    Thanks.

Dunno if it will help you but my ancient old fridge/freezer freezes everything in the fridge so I bought a cheap 24hr timer and programmed it to power up the fridge about every 2 hours for an hour (thus circa 12hr hours on / 12 hours off per day). That way I hit about the right temperature (although I err on the colder side)

You need to alter settings a little between full summer and full winter (I don't heat my kitchen much in winter) but other than that it's a fine, simple fix.

    And cheap. :)
