Hi. I recently bought a '02 320D with 87K on he clock. I had it health checked by BMW seeing as it was free and they told me that it was in good shape but that the brake discs and pads would need to be replaced soon. That's fine but what they also told me was that in 2005, there was just over 100K on the clock when it was last serviced by BMW in the UK. After some investigation by my dealer (who I'm positive didn't clock it), there is at least another 60K minimum on the clock by the chap that traded it in with him, so more than likely it could be close to 200K in total. Can people tell me what I should be looking for here? Should I accept a partilal refund and keep the car? Should I demand a different car? If I keep it and get a refund, should I get the mileage reset to something closer to the real amount so that I can still sell it when I'm ready to? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

AFAIK, the full milage should be still stored within the ECU, which could be accessed by a BMW garage.
Id find out the full picture first, then decide what level of apesh1t to go.
