    hey

so a few months ago i bought a 03 mondeo from a simi dealership in longford called Longford Motors (Suzuki & Mazda Dealership) and it was grand for a few days and the thing just started to develop one problem after another each week...now the warranty is for 3 months...but the first few problems that came after that first week of driving took them 2 months to get in the parts!!! meanwhile a few more developed...

so today i dropped the car in for serveral problems to be fixed...out of the ones ive inforemed them 2 of them didnt get fixed (even though he said he fixed it)...the workshop manager suffers by not hearing certain noises coming from the engine too when majority of people do (got a petrol car that sounds nearly like a diesel now (compared to silky smooth quite engine when bought)...

though the thing is im sick of dealing with this company for the money i paid wasnt worth of having a simi name on it...when i was in citizens info asking about terms of insurance concerning what they have to do they said i can claim for them to refund me due to the fact that im unhappy with the car and the service being provided...is this true or not?

what could you advise to do...im sick of having to go to them nearly every week! cause they cant do their job right!

Im assuming youve tried asking for your money back given that the goods they sold you are not fit for purpose?

Well the first thing I would have done would have been to approach the garage, tell them that you are not happy with the quality of the car and insist on a refund. If they are being uncooperative then its time to seek outside help. A simple question to the garage could save you time and money in getting this sorted.

    +1
Get their response in writing. If it does go to the small claims court, it will look well in your favour if they can see you attempted to achieve a resolution with the dealer but were rebuffed.

Also - the dealer is entitled to offer you repair/replace/refund, but if multiple repairs have already been attempted with no improvement, you should be refunded (imo)

yeah but how long from the purchase date can i ask for that?

If youve got proof that you approached them from the start and that they have made numerous efforts to fix the problems to no avail then Id say you have a pretty good case for asking for a refund. By the sounds of this the problems started happening pretty much straight away and they have been working on it ever since to get it sorted?

lol well thats the problem it never has been trouble free...i love the car and i wouldnt care if it did brake down that often and i had to bring it in to fix it...but ffs their not understanding and last time i brought it down they only fixed 2/4 problems when they said they fixed everything

Well then the sounds of it you have a good case for a refund, provided you can prove the issues were ongoing and that they made several reasonable attempts to get them resolved.

lol i went down to a diff garage today and lifted the car on the lift and had a look around and not one bushing got changed even though 2 sub frame bushings were gone on both sides even though the workshop manager said he changed it. 2nd the noise from the engine that i had was like a bubble popping noise comming from the intake throttle body is still there (which aswell was said that was fixed) and another problem that was unattended...

beggining to loose hope in SIMI dealerships

could have bought the car for alot less and fix it myself without hastle than ****ing wreck my head with these idiots
