Writing Short Stories - lecture notes

    Lots of people have been looking for advice on story writing technique, so I thought I'd post this link to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) open courseware lecture notes on writing. There's tons of really good notes, writing assignments, recommended reading, etc - a full course of creative writing, from one of the best universities in the world - for free! Well, the lecture notes are free, anyway :)

    Anyway, I have found it very helpful to re-read these from time to time.

    This is quite strange. Iv been thinking lately about getting back into creative writing its something i find very rewarding and relaxing. I done a quick search on boards and here it is, exactly what im looking for!! Thanks very much for this, its very useful.

    No problem! That MIT site is a goldmine of useful resources, I love it.

    Somewhere further down the threads is a link to a BBC creative writing site, which is also useful.
