    Hey I was reading the thread on the changes to the system, I noticed this post (I think it was third).
    Permit holders must be accompanied by a person with a full licence for at least two years. They must display 'L' plates and cannot drive on a motorway

    Now I have two confessions.

    I am on a provisional. I have been for almost two years.

    The reason for this isn't because I am lazy, and I am not a hazard to you. The reason is simply because both my parents drive new cars that I can't drive. And due the current economic situation I can't get a car for myself to learn in, plus insurance ect.

    However I will be getting a car soon, and my question is will I be allowed drive alone because I have had the license two years?

    you cannot drive alone on a learners permit. you must have a person with a full license with you. this person who's with you must have held their license for at least 2 years.
