01 Renault Scenic Alarm key

I have a friends 2001 Scenic (1.4 petrol) parked up in my house for 5 weeks when she is on holiday. The alarm is going off permanently, god knows why, I was even driving it a few feet when it went off again.

She gave me a small key to switch off the alarm/immobiliser(?) but I can't find out where it goes, there is nothing in the manual about it. I have the battery disconnected for the moment.

Anyone got any idea where the lock for the alarm is?

I looked everywhere including under the bonnet but can't find anything.

    Thanks

Depending on the type of the alarm it is, some have the key/switch
on the alarm its self.(little black flap covering it)
If its not there i'd next check along the steering and around the ignition
key area. Could be hidden to stop car thieves.
