Bought a nice bunch of heifers recently - mostly charolais or so I thought. When I was updating my heard register I noticed one of the heifer breed is PIX. Must admit I never came across them before and I didnt get a lot of info on the net either, other than there is an "Irish Piedmontese Cattle Society" in Co. Kilkenny... Does anyone have info on this breed of cattle. Are they comercial or show cattle.

Double muscled breed from italy. Since its a cross bred animal it wouldnt be for showing unless you want to show fatstock.
Seem to be grand cattle but dont know that much about them.
the big question is, regardless of breed, does she look to be a good heifer?

The heifer is of very good quality. She appears very similar to a charolais. I would just like to know more about the piedomese breed.

purebreds are a greyish white, from n italy, very lean. An uncle of mine had a few purebreds in the mid nineties but they never took off.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
